Home Plate 2015

On Saturday, May 9th at Comerica Park, Home Plate Detroit 2015 will offer a great opportunity to not only enjoy Tigers Baseball with your family, but to hear how the gospel has influenced some of its most defining players. Bring an unsaved friend as a gospel message will be preached. Hear testimonies from current and former Tigers, and then enjoy the ball game as the Tigers take on the 2014 American League Champion Kansas City Royals. Each Home Plate ticket will include a game ticket, access to the Home Plate activities (such as an on-the-field baseball clinic), a food coupon, and souvenirs. Tickets may be purchased by individuals, but buying tickets as a CBC group makes it more likely the group would be seated together.

  • Start time: The program starts at 9:30 a.m., and the game starts at 1:05 p.m.
  • Ticket price: $32 per ticket plus postage and handling. (No tickets are needed for children under age 4, but without a ticket, a child will not receive a reserved seat, food coupon, or souvenir.)
  • Group ticket purchase: Give your cash or check to Jeff Hackett by Sunday, January 18. Include $2 extra per ticket to cover postage and handling. Prepayment is required.
  • Questions? Contact Jeff Hackett. For more details, including how to purchase tickets directly, visit: www.homeplatedetroit.org

Answers For Women 2015

We live in a fallen world and we all know someone close to us who is experiencing the effects of this sin-cursed world in some way. People are hurting and we need compassionate answers that point them to Jesus and His Word. Come attend this year's conference on April 17 & 18 at Answers in Genesis Creation Museum as we hear from women who have walked these paths and can share practical, biblical ways for us to embrace those who are hurting. Register at answersforwomen.org. The conference costs $75, but if you register before February 1, it's only $55. That's a $20 discount just for registering early! The price includes lunch on Saturday for you, and a 2-day Creation Museum admission for you and accompanying spouses and children. See the website for the full schedule and details. If you have questions, you can contact Sara Perkins.

Easter 2015

Celebrate Easter at Calvary Bible Church

Sunday, April 5 at 10 a.m.

You are invited to celebrate Easter with us on Sunday, April 5 at 10 a.m. It is going to be a great Sunday featuring:

  • Practical teaching from our Senior Pastor Brian Jones
  • No dress code: Wear your new Easter outfit... or not. Your call.
  • High energy music from our live worship team led by Nick Slayton our worship leader.
  • Free coffee and donuts. It's good coffee, too from Starbucks and Gevalia. No Folgers crystals here. There's fruit as well if you don't want a donut.
  • A welcoming, friendly atmosphere for you, your friends, and family.
  • A fun experience for your kids.

Speaking of the kids:

We want the time spent in children's church to be the best hour of your child's week. We offer games, Bible lessons, and activities that help kids understand the Bible on their own level.

For your littlest ones, we have a great nursery filled with fun, disinfected toys and staffed by loving volunteers who have been background checked and trained. This is for kids from birth to age 3. The nursery is open before the service begins, so you can check in your infant or toddler as soon as you arrive.

Kids ages 3 through 5th grade start out in the service with you, then are dismissed by our worship leader for children's church. There they experience a church service that is designed for their own age level:

  • 3-4 year olds
  • Kindergarten and 1st grade
  • 2nd - 5th grades

Location:

We're located on Carpenter Rd. just south of Bemis. Click on the map below to get turn-by-turn directions:
