Read Hebrews 4:14-16 again.
The author of Hebrews is concerned that the original readers of this book are turning away from following Christ. Hebrews 4:14-16 states that concern again when it says, “Let us hold firmly to the faith we possess.” What are some of the things that cause people to renounce faith in Christ?
According to the author of Hebrews, one reason not to renounce our faith in Christ is that Christ, our high priest, sympathizes with us in our temptations and gives mercy and grace to those who look to him for it. Based on this passage, what should you do if you ever find yourself struggling to hold on to Christ?
If you struggle with assurance of salvation, how does this passage speak to that?
